NEXT is Resonate’s answer to the challenges of connecting, preparing, and sending the next generation of church leaders. Jesus knew His Church would be built by ordinary people committed to an extraordinary mission. We love to help kingdom-minded leaders discover and develop this mission alongside others.

Church planting has changed and the North American church is facing a crisis of church leadership.

More churches close each year than are planted.
The average age of a planter is higher than ever at 42.
The average pastor in the US is now 53.

If we desire revival in the North American church in our lifetime, we need a different approach to finding and forging church leaders.

Individual churches can’t do it alone. We’re better together.

Since 2007, Resonate has been planting churches in low-resource environments with young leaders we reach on the college campus. This experience has led us to prioritize three things that empower churches and planters:

  1. A collaborative community that fights against isolation and promotes growth.

  2. Strategic care to ensure a greater degree of health and support when the mission is difficult.

  3. Innovative strategies and coaching that help overcome a lack of financial or leadership resources.
